One Month of Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions
Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions officially launched to new applicants and George Mason staff and faculty on May 1. Since then, we have successfully opened graduate spring 2027 applications (Wave 1), where 371 applications have been started, including 74 that have been submitted and are under review. We have also successfully launched Wave 1.5, enabling case management, events management, and Vonage CTI (telephone connection to Patriot Connect) for the system. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the user community for your engagement with Patriot Connect, as well as your understanding and patience as we continue this phased roll-out.
We would also like to thank all who reached out to the Patriot Connect priority technical support bridge (i.e., “Hypercare”) over the last six weeks to seek support, report system issues, and request enhancements to improve Patriot Connect. The live Patriot Connect Hypercare bridge (Teams link) is now closed, and technical support for staff and faculty has transitioned to the George Mason Salesforce Center of Excellence (CoE), in partnership with Enrollment Management Technology and Mason Student Services Center (MSSC). Any open defects or enhancements from Hypercare that are still under investigation or need follow-up will remain open and will be tracked by the CoE until they are resolved.
Sustained Hypercare-like support will be available through the CoE through May 2027. To request support throughout this period, staff and faculty can submit a case via the Patriot Connect Support Hub. Applicants and students in need of support can continue to submit cases to the MSSC Support Desk. This information can be found on the Support page of the Patriot Connect program website; we recommend bookmarking these links for easy access.

ON THE HORIZON
What is Wave 3?
Following the successful technical go-live on April 24, Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions has continued to roll out to staff and faculty through a phased user activation approach in which users gain access to the system in a series of waves.
Wave 3 will launch on December 1 and January 1. Wave 3 offers the same core Recruitment and Admissions application functionality as Waves 1 and 2 but expands to new applicant populations. Wave 3 will include the following applicant populations:
- Mason Korea: Summer 2027 degree
- Undergraduate: Summer 2027 non-degree; Fall 2027 transfer/ADVANCE
While we are not expecting new staff and faculty users in Wave 3, training and support will still be available. More information will be shared in upcoming communications.
