Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions Wave 2 Launching August 1 and 15

Monday, June 1, 2026

Dear Patriot Connect Community,

We are pleased to announce that Wave 2 of Patriot Connect Release 2: Recruitment and Admissions is just 60 days away from its official launch. With the start of Wave 2, undergraduate and graduate processes will be in the same platform, marking an impactful milestone for Patriot Connect as a unified system.

Undergraduate applications will open on August 1, and graduate applications will open on August 15. Further, Wave 2 will welcome our colleagues from Mason Korea into the Patriot Connect system. To review the applications and start dates included in Wave 2, visit the Milestone Dates for Patriot Connect Release 2: Recruitment and Admissions.

As we prepare for the launch of Wave 2, here are a few key items to keep in mind:

  • Training and Communications: Live, instructor-led training for Wave 2 end-users will begin in mid-July 2026. Self-guided resources (job aids, resource guides, infographics, and videos) will also be available in MasonLEAPS. For more details on training phases, please visit the timeline page of the Patriot Connect program website. Please expect emails from [email protected] for official end-user training announcements.
  • TargetX: Continue using TargetX for the full cycle of all pre-existing and inprogress application cycles and events. After Wave 2 activation, manage all new work in Patriot Connect. This means that working in both TargetX and Patriot Connect will be required.

As we move from separate systems (TargetX Lifecycle and TargetX Grad) into Patriot Connect, we take an important step toward a more connected and student-centered experience. Your commitment to learning, adapting, and supporting one another makes this progress possible. Together, we are building a stronger foundation to engage, guide, and support every Patriot—now and into the future.

Sincerely,

Ajay Vinzé
