Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions Wave 2 Progress
Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions officially launched the second wave of applications on August 1 (undergraduate, Washington Scholars Program, and Mason Korea) and August 15 (graduate). Since August 1, 973 applications have been started, including 293 that have been submitted and are under review. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the user community for your engagement with Patriot Connect, as well as your understanding and patience as we continue this phased roll-out.
To request help, staff and faculty can submit a case via the Patriot Connect Support Hub. Applicants and current students in need of support can continue to submit cases to the MSSC Support Desk. This information can be found on the Support page of the Patriot Connect program website along with helpful training resources; we recommend bookmarking these links for easy access.
Patriot Connect Fall Micro-Trainings
We hope you all had a wonderful summer and were able to enjoy some time away from campus. If you are an Application Reviewer or Application Processor who wasn’t able to attend live, end-user training held in April or July, or you just want to refresh your knowledge and skills in Patriot Connect, there are new training opportunities available this fall.
- Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions Introduction Training: First, check your “Action Items” in MasonLEAPS to complete your required, self-guided Patriot Connect introduction training.
- Note: Please ensure you review all items on your “Action Items” list, which may span multiple pages, to locate assigned Patriot Connect training.
- Patriot Connect Micro-Training Sessions: These instructor-led sessions, lasting approximately 30 minutes, will be offered twice a week from August 18 to October 15 with focused content specifically for Application Reviewers and Application Processors. Watch the Microsoft Teams Patriot Connect Training Community for training announcements and register in MasonLEAPS for these virtual sessions hosted in Microsoft Teams. To register:
- Login to MasonLEAPS.
- From the Learning menu, select Events Calendar.
- Click on the session you wish to attend to view the session details.
- Click the Request button to register.
ON THE HORIZON
Transitioning to the Patriot Connect Program Office
As Patriot Connect transitions from the implementation phase into ongoing support and growth, and as our time working with Accenture as our implementation partner comes to a close, we will be introducing the transition to the Patriot Connect Program Office.
The Patriot Connect Program Office will provide oversight and coordination for program administration and governance, including long-term strategic planning, risk and issue management, budget and resource oversight, vendor management, change management, and Salesforce Center of Excellence activities. The office will also oversee platform enhancements, user support, and maintenance activities to ensure Patriot Connect continues to deliver value for George Mason students, faculty, and staff.
Currently, the Patriot Connect Program Office is in a period of recruitment and onboarding as new team members join the team, and knowledge transfer activities are in progress. We look forward to sharing more updates as the team becomes fully operational.
