Office of Admissions, Enrollment Management

Q: What does being a Patriot Connect Change Champion mean to you?

A: Being a Patriot Connect Change Champion means helping bridge the gap between people, processes, and technology. It gives me the opportunity to share helpful information, listen to feedback, support colleagues through change, and contribute to making Patriot Connect more valuable for both our teams and the students we serve.

Q: What excites you the most about Patriot Connect?

A: What excites me most about Patriot Connect is its potential to create a more connected experience across the university. I enjoy seeing how the platform continues to evolve based on the needs and feedback of its users, while helping teams access better information, improve collaboration, and support students more effectively.

Q: Ask me about…

A: Ask me about how admissions data moves between systems and supports the student journey. I enjoy understanding how information connects across Patriot Connect and our other admissions systems, identifying where something may not be working as expected, and helping translate technical processes into practical solutions.

Q: What is your favorite spot on campus?

A: My favorite spot on campus is the tree-covered area near the College of Engineering and Computing. When I was a student, there were hammocks tied between the trees, and it became my go-to place to relax before, after, or between classes. I loved lying in a hammock under the canopy, especially during the spring and summer, to read a book, listen to music, or simply enjoy the sunlight. I am not sure whether the hammocks are still there, but that tree grove was my peaceful little spot.

Q: What is your favorite season on campus?

A: Fall is my favorite season at George Mason because the campus is beautiful as the leaves begin to change colors. As a former George Mason student, some of my favorite memories are of sitting by Mason Pond or near the clock tower by the Johnson Center with a cup of coffee, enjoying the cool breeze, watching the leaves, and getting some work done. I loved those moments as a student, and I still enjoy them whenever I am on campus.

The Patriot Connect team has activated a change network of “Patriot Connect Release 2 Change Champions” to support the adoption of Patriot Connect at George Mason. Units, colleges, or schools impacted by Release 2 have a designated change champion who is here to make the transition to Patriot Connect smooth and successful. The Release 2 change network kicked off in October 2025 and will remain active throughout the implementation and launch of Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions. Your first point of contact for questions should be your designated Patriot Connect Release 2 Change Champion.
