Patriot Connect: The University’s New System of Engagement to Connect the Student Journey

At George Mason, using separate platforms for critical services like recruitment, admissions, academic advising, and success coaching has led to a fragmented experience for our students, staff, and faculty. George Mason will transform the student lifecycle experience by replacing disconnected platforms with a new university-wide system of engagement for the student journey called Patriot Connect.

Starting at the beginning of the student journey, Patriot Connect will serve as a centralized online tool for students, offering support from application to graduation. Patriot Connect will enable students to manage their applications, receive personalized communications, schedule appointments, and access essential student support services including academic advising, student success coaching, and learning services.

Patriot Connect is more than a new student engagement system—it’s a vision to ensure George Mason delivers a distinctive and inclusive student experience that fosters lifelong engagement with the university.

April 2025: Patriot Connect Launches

The Patriot Connect team is using 2024 to prepare for a target April 2025 launch of Release 1: Student Success. For more detailed information, please visit the Timeline page.

The timeline graphic illustrates key phases for the Patriot Connect Program. The program Kickoff was held in January 2024, followed by Validation and Discovery from late January through May 2024. The Design and Build phase runs from June to December 2024, with Test scheduled from November 2024 to February 2025. Release 1, which includes the Student Success functionality, is targeted to Deploy in April 2025. Release 2, focusing on Recruitment and Admissions, is proposed for the end of 2025 and early 2026.
