Countdown to Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions
Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions is now just over a month from launching! The platform will debut with a technical go-live on April 24, 2026, with the first wave of applications able to be published in Patriot Connect on May 1, 2026.
Following the technical launch, staff and faculty will gain access to Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions in a series of activation waves based on George Mason’s application lifecycle. To identify when your unit (and applicant population) is scheduled to gain access to Patriot Connect, visit the Milestone Dates for Patriot Connect Release 2: Recruitment and Admissions.
Training will be provided in a series of waves based on when each group is scheduled to gain access to Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions. Live, instructor-led training (ILT) courses for Wave 1 users will be available in-person or virtually from April 6 to April 30. Wave 1 users should expect upcoming communications from [email protected] for training assignments and how to register for ILT courses in MasonLEAPS.

Featured Updates for Patriot Connect: Student Success
The “Patriot Connect Access Request Form” for Student Success has recently undergone updates intended to improve clarity and ease of use for both those requesting access and supervisors approving requests. As a result, the guiding documentation to support the process has also been updated.
- New users must complete the Patriot Connect Access Request Form which will now check if the required FERPA and Highly Sensitive Data trainings have been completed.
- For guidance on this process, log in to MasonLEAPS to review the “Getting Access to Patriot Connect as a New User” job aid.
Please note that Patriot Connect Release 1 training materials in MasonLEAPS are updated on an ongoing basis as needed to incorporate these updates to the system. Be sure to join the Patriot Connect Training Community to be notified when new resources are added or updated.
ON THE HORIZON
What is Wave 1.5?
After launching with a technical go-live on April 24, Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions will roll out to staff and faculty through a phased user activation approach in which users will gain access to the system in a series of waves.
While Waves 1, 2, and 3 will offer the same core Recruitment and Admissions application functionality, Wave 1.5 is distinct from these waves. This wave will include functionality for case management and event management.
For event management, Wave 1.5 will introduce Summit Events, a tool selected for its seamless connection with the Patriot Connect platform and its ability to support events for prospective and new students such as college fairs, campus tours, and orientation programs. Launching in June 2026, Wave 1.5 functionality will include:
- Vonage Computer Telephony integration to support call handling within Patriot Connect for Mason Student Servies Center (MSSC) staff.
- Case management to help track and resolve student inquiries and help-desk tickets for MSSC staff and select University Life units.
- Event management to support invitations, registration, and attendance for virtual and in-person events for Enrollment Management, select University Life units, and anyone from Waves 1, 2, and 3 who currently use event management capabilities in TargetX.
Wave 1.5 end-user training will occur between mid-May and early June 2026. Information will be shared on the training later this spring.
