Patriot Connect Update-December 2025

Dear Colleague,

Thank you for your interest in the Patriot Connect program! We remain committed to sharing recent updates with you.

Celebrating Two Years of Patriot Connect!

Since its official kick-off in January 2024, the Patriot Connect program has reached an exciting milestone: two full years of progress and innovation! We extend our heartfelt thanks to all team members involved in both Release 1 and Release 2 for your time, hard work, and dedication, as well as your commitment to enhancing the student, staff, and faculty experience at George Mason. As 2025 comes to a close, we’d like to take a moment to celebrate some of this year’s key achievements: 

  • Launched Patriot Connect Release 1: Student Success, transforming how George Mason supports its students. 
  • Integrated Product Manager, Product Owner, and Change Liaison representation and advocacy for our faculty, staff, and student staff users across multiple business areas into daily operations for Release 1: Student Success—another step towards enabling collective decision-making for the student journey across academic and administrative offices. 
  • Designed and developed system features for Patriot Connect Release 2: Recruitment and Admissions in focused, two-week periods called “sprints”—the team completed 14 build sprints this year! 
  • Activated the Patriot Connect Release 2 Change Champion Network to support the transition and adoption of Release 2. 

Looking ahead to 2026, here are some key things to expect as we prepare to launch Release 2:

  • Communications from your designated Patriot Connect Release 2 Change Champion to keep you up to date on the latest progress and upcoming action items. 
  • Confirmed dates for phased Release 2 user activation, detailing when different groups will gain access to the system. 
  • The Release 2 training curriculum and timeline, providing the high-level training topics for all end-users.
