Dear Colleagues,
In just 30 days, Wave 1.5 of Patriot Connect Release 2: Recruitment and Admissions will launch, enabling Vonage CTI (telephone connection to Patriot Connect), case management, and events management for the system.
Wave 1.5 users, please complete the required actions below to ensure you are ready for go-live on June 5. Users for all other waves, this message is for your awareness only.
- Ensure “FERPA 101” (required every two years) and “Highly Sensitive Data Custodian” (required annually) trainings are up to date. Access to Patriot Connect will not be granted until both training courses are marked complete in MasonLEAPS.
- Complete Wave 1.5 Patriot Connect training. Check your “Action Items” in MasonLEAPS to see your assigned Patriot Connect training(s). This includes a self-guided introductory training (no registration required) as well as live, instructor-led training, held May 27-June 15 (advance registration required; see guidance below).
- Consider optional training. Enroll in the instructor-led course “Interacting with Prospects and Applicants” to learn about communicating with prospective students and tracking interactions in Patriot Connect.

TargetX Transition Guidance
Wave 1.5 users should continue using TargetX for the full cycle of all pre-existing and in‑progress cases and events. All pre-existing events must be completed in TargetX by August 19. Beginning June 5, all new cases must be created and managed in Patriot Connect and all new events must be created and managed in Patriot Connect Summit Events. This means you will temporarily need to work in both TargetX and Patriot Connect as your events and cases in TargetX wrap-up. Specific guidance on the transition and the final day(s) to access historical data in TargetX will be provided in future communications.
We look forward to sharing Wave 1.5 of Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions with you very soon. To learn more, visit the Patriot Connect program website.
Sincerely,
The Patriot Connect Program Management Team
