Get a Sneak Peek at Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions

With the build phase of Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions complete, are you curious to see what the system will look like? Explore the Recruitment and Admissions Demo Recordings for an early preview of the system from both the staff/faculty and the student applicant perspectives. We recommend bookmarking this link, as additional demo recordings will be added in the months leading up to launch. You can also find the link to the demo recordings anytime on the Patriot Connect program website

When watching the recordings, please keep the following in mind:

  • You must have a George Mason University NetID and password to access the demos.
  • The demos use sample data only.
  • Demos are a high-level introduction and early exposure to the system to help set expectations ahead of the launch of Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions.
  • Demos are not a forum for collecting change requests, as the build phase is complete.

If you have questions regarding the demo recordings, please submit them through the Let’s Connect form.

Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions Peer Trainer Kickoff

Thank you to the individuals from across colleges, schools, and units who have committed to serving as peer trainers for Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions. These peer trainers will lead and support instructor-led training (ILT) sessions, helping prepare staff and faculty for go-live. This peer-to-peer model ensures that training is delivered by George Mason colleagues who understand day-to-day business needs.

The Patriot Connect training team will soon launch “Peer Trainer Preparation,” a program in which peer trainers will get hands-on experience with Patriot Connect, attend preparation sessions to learn how to deliver the training content, complete self-learning exercises, and participate in practice sessions.

The Patriot Connect team is committed to providing ample training opportunities to help end-users prepare for the upcoming transition to Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions. End-user training will be provided in a series of waves based on when each group is scheduled to gain access to Recruitment and Admissions. Staff and faculty will be assigned persona-specific training paths that include instructor-led training (ILT) and self-guided resources. Attending ILTs is strongly encouraged and will be centrally scheduled by the Patriot Connect team and delivered by designated peer trainers. ILT recordings will be available after the live sessions.

ON THE HORIZON

User Acceptance Testing

Before launching Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions, the system will undergo final phase of testing called user acceptance testing (UAT). During UAT, a team of George Mason staff and faculty will test the system using real-world scenarios to confirm that it meets the university’s business requirements, reflects accurate processes, and delivers the intended user experience. UAT will take place from early March through early April and will include two rounds of testing to allow time for incorporating user feedback. This phase represents one of the final milestones before end-user training and the launch of Recruitment and Admissions. For more details, visit the Patriot Connect program timeline.
