For Patriot Connect Release 2: Recruitment and Admissions, Release 2 Product Owners were asked to capture ideas and requests that couldn’t be accommodated without jeopardizing the April 2026 launch timeline, along with current Release 2 scope items that were deferred for post go-live delivery.
The table below of “Fast-Follow Functionality Coming Post Go-Live” represents an initial list of functionality that needs to be added or expanded upon in Patriot Connect by the Salesforce Center of Excellence (COE) post go-live (April 24, 2026). The items on this list were submitted by Release 2 Product Owners in consultation with their product advisors and subject matter experts (SMEs).
This initial list represents:
- Known top priorities as of late January 2026.
- Deferred Release 2 scope requiring immediate post-launch attention.
- Critical capabilities identified during final project phases.
Please note:
- This is a starting point, not a final or complete list.
- The list is in no particular order.
- Inclusion on this list does not mean it has been approved, sized, or prioritized.

Fast-Follow Functionality Coming Post Go-Live
| Functionality | Description | Impact |
|---|---|---|
| Recreation of Form Assembly Forms in Patriot Connect | Inventory, prioritize, and rebuild critical Form Assembly forms beyond the main RFI form. These forms support event registrations, process requests, and other business-critical operations across multiple business units. | Form Assembly forms are essential for daily business operations. Without them, units would revert to manual processes or disjointed systems, creating bottlenecks during peak recruitment seasons. Completion must align with Release 2 Waves. |
| Appointment Scheduling for Prospects/Applicants | Extend Patriot Connect’s appointment scheduling capability (currently available only to enrolled students) to prospects and applicants. This would eliminate the current workaround using MS Bookings and leverage calendar sync features between Outlook and Salesforce. | Centralizing appointment scheduling in Patriot Connect creates a true 360 degree view of the student. All interactions tied directly to the student record from first contact through enrollment. Without this, prospect engagement data remains fragmented across systems, limiting insights and relationship management during critical recruitment phases. |
| CAS Integration (Graduate Programs) | Integrate George Mason’s Centralized Application Service with Patriot Connect so that graduate applicants can view supplemental applications and decision letters through the “My Applications” tab, and staff can review materials and issue decisions within Patriot Connect without switching platforms. | Reduces staff “swivel-chair” work and improves applicant experience. Without integration, graduate admissions remains fragmented across platforms. |
| Banner Integration Modernization | Replace legacy PL/SQL batch processes with custom Informatica task flows for incoming student data from Patriot Connect to Banner. This work was deferred due to time constraints and is estimated at ~3 months. | Improves data reliability and long-term maintainability. Continued reliance on legacy processes increases technical debt and operational risk. |
| Additional PRAXIS Data Fields Integration | Integrate additional (new) PRAXIS data fields with both Banner and Patriot Connect. This requirement was raised in the January Salesforce Executive Committee (SEC) meeting and needs detailed scoping with subject matter experts. | PRAXIS data is critical for teacher education program admissions and compliance. Without proper integration, staff face manual workarounds for tracking teacher certification requirements, potentially impacting program accreditation and student progression. |
| Remapping Marketing Vendor Data Loads | Remap data fields from ASRB-approved marketing vendors (Encoura, Capture, Intersect, etc.) to match Patriot Connect’s data architecture. Each vendor integration requires field-level mapping updates. | Digital marketing and targeted student outreach depend on these vendor data exchanges. Without remapping, Enrollment Marketing campaigns lose precision and effectiveness, directly impacting recruitment ROI and enrollment goals. Must align with the Wave 2 timeline. |
| ADG Data Integration for Graduate Orientation | Replicate the existing TargetX Grad-to-ADG vendor integration in Patriot Connect. This integration supports the Graduate Orientation platform and enables personalized communications with module completion data. | Integration allows personalized email communications showing students their orientation progress (modules completed vs. remaining). Without it, Graduate Education and Graduate Student Life lose ability to send targeted completion reminders, potentially impacting orientation completion rates. |
| Expand Summit Events | Complete remaining Summit Events build-out, including registration forms and functionality for tracking / communicating attendee accessibility and dietary requirements. Primary users include: Admissions Events, IEM, and UG Orientation. | Events are year-round recruitment cornerstones for both undergraduate and graduate programs. Without full functionality by Wave 1, admitted student events (critical for graduate yield) lack proper accessibility tracking, potentially creating compliance issues and poor attendee experience. |
| Mogli Number Migration | Migrate existing text messaging numbers from TargetX systems to Patriot Connect by Aug. / early Sept. 2026. Requires new ITS contract with Mogli, migration project plan, and updated RFI carrier language. | Text messaging delivers higher response rates than email and is critical during yield phase (admit to enrollment). Loss of texting capability would significantly hamper recruitment efforts when timing matters most—students expect immediate, mobile-first communication. |
| Military Services Cases Category and Reason Picklist Options | Add Military-specific Case Category and Reason picklist options in Patriot Connect (VA benefits, 702, VMSDEP, COE, etc.). Current options are limited to “general questions” because Military email-to-case launched during the build phase. | Military Services cannot properly organize, manage, or report on their caseload with only generic categories. This delays response times to student veterans and loses months of operational data needed for compliance reporting and workload analysis. |
