Patriot Connect provides an individualized student contact record from application to graduation, enabling faculty and staff to offer support tailored to each students’ unique needs.

Training Resources

For Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions, training materials will be assigned in MasonLEAPS based on user persona and role. Select the “Your Action Items” header to view Patriot Connect training that has been assigned to you.

Training will be provided in a series of waves based on when each group is scheduled to gain access to Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions. For Patriot Connect: Student Success, staff and faculty training materials are available in MasonLeaps for self-paced learning and continued support.

  1. Log in to MasonLeaps
  2. Join the Patriot Connect Community. To find the community:
    1. Hover over the Connect tab on the top menu ribbon
    2. Select All Communities
    3. Select Patriot Connect
  3. Select the Topics tab to access all training materials. 
  4. Join the Patriot Connect Training Community in Microsoft Teams to receive updates on materials and announcements of upcoming trainings.

Requesting Access to Patriot Connect

If you are a new user to Patriot Connect, such as a new hire or a new student employee, you must complete a Patriot Connect Access Request Form.

All users of Patriot Connect require training on FERPA and Highly Sensitive Data. New George Mason staff and faculty should be on the lookout for notifications to complete one or both trainings after they start.

To ensure your account has access to Patriot Connect, you must complete a Patriot Connect Access Request Form. The process to get access will require both you and your supervisor completing digital form(s), confirming your need for access to Patriot Connect. For guidance on this process, log into MasonLEAPS in order to review the Getting Access to Patriot Connect as a New User job aid. 

Patriot Connect: Recruitment and Admissions Participating Units

The key users of Patriot Connect Release 2: Recruitment and Admissions are prospective students and Enrollment Management teams and partners. Select units in University Life will also be impacted by new case management and event management functionality that will be introduced as part of Release 2.
